We previously advised that the committee of Sanderstead Residents’ Association had arranged for the Sanderstead sign to be remade as closely as possible to the original in honour of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. On May 12th the new sign was delivered and installed back to its original position.
The remodelling and refurbishment was meticulously undertaken by Butler Associates who were able to repair and reuse the intricate carvings from the original sign. The photograph shows how smart our Sanderstead sign looks now!
The cost for this was shared between SRA and the Sanderstead Councillors, plus donations from some Sanderstead residents.
