We asked Sanderstead Residents if they had any suggestions for local initiatives we could fund as part of the Association’s Centenary. One request was to reinstate the bench seat beside the Waitrose bus stop which had previously been damaged and then subsequently removed.
We liaised with our Sanderstead Councillors asking if we could fund and install a new bench and fortunately the Council subsequently offered to provide a refurbished bench for this location.
This is now in place and we’re sure is welcomed by many residents who use this bus stop.
We also have other plans and events for our Centenary which will take place throughout this year which we’ll let you know about shortly!
