We are pleased that there was a good turnout for the Christmas Lights switch on last Saturday. Paul Meakin was thronging with residents enjoying a glass of prosecco or mulled wine and the children had fun with the lucky dip. Before Santa arrived, courtesy of Sanderstead and Selsdon Rotary Club, the new rector of All Saints’ Sanderstead led those assembled with some Christmas carols backed up by the choir and music recorded by their organist. We were especially pleased to see that when Milestone turned on the lights, all the bulbs lit up this year thanks to the repair work funded by Paul and Meakin and the monies we received from the film company in the summer.
