We were present when Milestone Infrastructure, who install all our Christmas Lights, put up a beautiful 18 foot Christmas Tree by Sanderstead pond. This has been placed by the electric point so that it is lit. We are very grateful to Milestone for doing this and together with our Christmas Lights, which were recently switched on, Sanderstead is in a festive mood!
Our own Christmas Tree at this position has had a chequered history with two dying. We have this year planted a rooted tree up on the bank near All Saints’ Church. We hope that with the compost and rooting granules that this one will survive and grow – it is currently only about 5 foot. We need to ensure that it is kept watered as it gets established.
