You will have read in the Autumn 2022 Sanderstead News that Nationwide decided to close our account with them and did not offer a suitable alternative. This account had been open for many years and as a result when we made standing orders available to members as a method of subscription payments in the late 1990s, many members set up a Nationwide standing order. Since 2002 we have also had a Lloyds account and any standing orders since that date have been payable to that account. All those affected have had a letter personally delivered by a member of the committee and we are grateful that over two-thirds have responded, however we would ask those yet to respond to do so as quickly as possible as we want to ensure that everything is in place before the subscription due date in mid January. This was a large exercise for us with 360 members to contact and we have tried to keep the costs involved to a minimum.
