There are proposals for a new M&S Foodhall on the old Milk & More site on Brighton Road, near Puregym & Esso which will have 70 parking spaces. A survey by Grove Property seeks the views of the community and they want to hear your views before submitting a planning application with a view to starting construction in 2024.
They ask if you support the plans for a new M&S foodhall and cultural and creative hub for Purley, then you are asked to rate how important new M&S foodhall is to you; affordable workspace for local businesses; transforming an underutilised site; retaining listed frontages and job creation. There a a few more questions after this giving you the opportunity to comment.
Marks and Spencer have the newly opened foodhall on the Purley Way on the site of the old John Lewis At Home but this new proposal would be more accessible for Sanderstead Residents. There has been a M&S foodhall in West Wickham for a number of years which was created in the old dairy and retains the frontage.
