Last Friday TFOSL had a garden work party to sweep up the fallen beech nuts, tend to the wildflower area, cut back the brambles and clear the bed under the retaining wall ready for planting. There are a lot of blue bags and cuttings for the Council to take away!
There were 9 of us hard at work for a couple of hours – and what a difference it made having more helpers this time. If you are interested in helping at future work parties please email Richard at tfosl@sanderstead-residents.co.uk. All SRA members are covered by our insurance.
We also trimmed the pyracanthus bushes and planted some daffodil bulbs.
If you would like to donate a pack of Spring bulbs for us to plant, please leave them with the librarians (the library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
