Friday 14th March – Visit and Ancient Woodland – compare areas where coppicing techniques continue the long life of native woods.
Friday 11th April – Woodland Flowers on the Floor – find tiny, early flowers hiding beneath the giants.
Friday 25th April – Bluebells in the Woods – bluebells are flourishing before the tree canopy closes above.
Friday 9th May – Leaves Galore – discover the great variety of native plants in this managed woodland.
The Conservation Volunteers had a work party at King’s Wood on 5th and 6th March to maintain the woodland. They will be returning next week and welcome volunteers – they had 10 on the 5th and 13 on the 6th.
