You will probably have noticed the red poppies adorning lamposts on Sanderstead Road outside the station shops, Elmfield Way, Cranleigh Parade on Limpsfield Road and at Hamsey Green.
Sanderstead Residents’ Association put these poppies up each year to remember those who fell in the service of our country and we lay a wreath at the War Memorial in All Saints’ Churchyard on Remembrance Sunday to specifically remember those who fell who were Sanderstead residents.
