We have a sub-committee producing a booklet about the last 100 years of the SRA and Sanderstead to which we have co-opted Phil Swallow (see his Youtube videos about Sanderstead and surrounding areas) and Lizzie Mould who both are involved with the Bourne Society. Phil will also be doing a talk with a presentation at our AGM next year, 14th May.
So we have a request:-
Do you have any old cinefilm or similar footage that records significant events in Sanderstead?
As part of next year’s centenary celebrations, we are hoping to track down any films of Sanderstead over the years. So, if you have any old footage that you would be willing to share with others, we would love to hear from you.
We would also welcome some personal pre 1970s recollections.
Similarly, if you have any friend or family member that has the necessary skills and interest to work on this project, please get in touch.
