IT’S AGATHA…BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW HER
The Parlour Players are going for all-out comedy with their Autumn production of Peter Gordon’s Murdered to Death.
This hilarious spoof of the best of Agatha Christie traditions is set in a country manor house in the 1930s, with an assembled cast of familiar characters – Bunting the butler, Charles Craddock, a retired Colonel with the prerequisite stiff upper lip, Inspector Pratt, a hopelessly bumbling detective and, of course, Miss Maple, a well-meaning, amateur sleuth who seems to attract murder wherever she goes. Add an additional sprinkling of eccentric characters and you are guaranteed a whodunnit full of side-splitting antics following the mysterious death of the house’s owner.
The show will be performed in the Sanderstead United Reformed Church Hall (at the bottom of Sanderstead Hill) from 11th to 14th November. Evening performances Wednesday – Friday at 7.45pm and Saturday matinee at 2.30 pm. Tickets at £12 go on sale from Monday 28th September and are available via the website parlourplayers.co.uk
